Tour Plan
The safari guide from our office in Arusha will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. You are transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you relax for the rest of the afternoon, enjoy your overnight stay and prepare for the next day's adventure. You can explore the city with our guide at no additional fee.
After breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park. The journey includes a game drive and carried lunch boxes. Once the game drive is complete, we will drive you back to the lodge to relax and stay overnight.
Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its arboreal lions, which hide among tree branches. You will also see numerous troops of baboons living in the forest, accompanying you along the road from the moment you enter the park.
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park (driving time some 4 hours, but with plenty to see on the way!) En route you will see grazing zebras, antelopes and giraffes and sometimes some buffalos hiding in the bush. The South Serengeti ecosystem belongs partly to the Serengeti National park and partly to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. After the game drive, you enter the Serengeti National park and drive to your tented camp at Ikoma Bush Camp in Serengeti, where you arrive in time for your dinner. All meals included
Endless Plains of the Serengeti
Early start today; for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. You can take breakfast boxes with you and have a bush breakfast when the sun is up before you visit the interesting documentation center about Serengeti at Seronera. Return to your lodge for a relaxed lunch under the shade of an old acacia tree.
In the afternoon you can go out again on game drives or undertake a nature walk around the camp with some resident tribesmen. They are happy to share their knowledge of plants and animals surrounding them and introduce you into their use of traditional bow and arrow for hunting.
There is an optional hot-air balloon safari (not included in the package cost), which will take place in the morning, just as the sun rises. You'll float in whichever direction the morning winds take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; at times he will ascend to 1000' or more to see the enormity and wonderful panorama of the Serengeti. After the landing you celebrate with champagne and a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in 'Out of Africa' style. After breakfast you receive your Serengeti balloon certificate and drive back to your lodge or proceed with your day’s activities and game drives around the Serengeti.
Overnight at Ikoma Bush Camp in Serengeti, All meals included
After breakfast you will depart Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, After arrival you will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater on World Heritage Site holding a permanent population of more than 30 000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. The Crater is also home to the rare black rhino almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck you will see the ‘Big Five’ during one game drive.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge All meals included
Morning after breakfast you will drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. You will depart Arusha at 12h15 and arrive in Zanzibar at 14h20.
The Spice Island of Zanzibar

You'll have the rest of the afternoon free to take in the amazing white sand beaches and clear blue waters of the island.
1st night: Accommodation at Mnarani Beach Cottages meals on half board basis
After breakfast, we take a full-day Stone town tour with our local guide. Once we have completed the day's activities, we will transfer you to your beach hotel.
Admire the narrow streets lined with residential houses that preserve their original Swahili-Omani themes. Exquisitely carved doorways identify the themes with metal studs, overhanging balconies, and latticed windows. Side by side, you will see churches and mosques. The churches are due to the colonial presence in the country and the mosques commissioned by the sultans of Zanzibar. You will also visit other exciting destinations in the town.
Spice Farms & Old Stone Towns (half-day tour)
After breakfast you will head to Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, you can take the famous Spice Tour, where you can get to know not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine, cosmetics and cooking.
After the tour you will be invited for an opulent lunch, where you can taste these spices and some fruits. Later in the afternoon you will visit Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through the fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace) and the Arab Fort, amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar.
You will see Zanzibar's bustling markets, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques!
3nd night: Accommodation at: Mnarani Beach Cottages meals on half board basis
These two days are spent in Zanzibar at your leisure. Use your time to relax on the beach and at the resort. Discover Zanzibar's best beaches, each offering spectacular sunsets, palm-fringed beaches, turquoise waters, white sand, and colorful coral reefs.
Enjoy the last few hours before you depart from the resort. We will pick you up at the resort and transfer you to Zanzibar Airport, where our service ends.
On the way back to Zanzibar International Airport, you can stop at Stone town to buy souvenirs.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
